I am an emerging artist with a passion for drawing and printmaking, as well as a strong interest in painting that is continually growing. You will find my personal body of artwork consisting of drawings, paintings, etchings, and woodcuts; as well as an expanding portfolio that seeks to capture the beauty, nature, and inhabitants of the Florida environment.

Great Blue Herron III

The Great Blue Heron is a permanent resident at Myakka River State Park and can be abundantly observed there. They usually swallow their food whole, and have been known to choke when it is too large. Though their diet includes crab, shrimp, rodents, and other critters, their main prey is small fish. The Heron especially feeds in shallow water during dawn or dusk.

Three Of A Kind

The Sandhill Crane has one of the longest fossil records of still existing birds. There are several subspecies, and the southernmost subspecies are more rare than the northern. The Florida Sandhill is endangered by habitat destruction and is under the protection of both state and federal law. In Florida, there is a very high consequential fine to killing this subspecies.
